The short version

frankly works when people are honest and treat each other like adults. The rules are simple:

If someone breaks these rules, report or block them. We read reports — and we treat in-person safety reports first.

These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can cost you your account.

What we expect from you

1. Be a real person, and be honest

We hold every member to this standard: use your real identity, your own recent photos, and an accurate age. Don't impersonate anyone, don't use someone else's pictures, and don't misrepresent who you are or what you're looking for. Honesty is the whole point of frankly — say what you mean.

2. Be respectful

Treat people the way an adult should. The following are not allowed:

"No" is a complete answer. If someone isn't interested, move on.

3. Keep photos and content appropriate

This is a place to meet people, not a place for explicit content.

4. No spam, solicitation, or commercial use

5. Adults only — zero tolerance for anything involving minors

frankly is for adults. You must be 18 or older to be here. We have zero tolerance for any content or behavior that sexualizes, endangers, or involves a minor. Accounts that violate this are removed immediately and permanently.

As required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), we report apparent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and related conduct to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, preserve the associated records as the law requires, and cooperate with law enforcement.

If you believe a minor is using frankly, or you see content involving a minor, report it right away. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

6. No illegal activity

Don't use frankly to break the law or to facilitate anything illegal — including fraud and scams, the sale of drugs or weapons, trafficking, or any form of exploitation.

Your safety

frankly helps you meet new people. The people you meet are still strangers, so look out for yourself:

If you are ever in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

For more on the limits of what frankly does — for example, that we don't run criminal background checks — see Section 6 of the Terms of Service.

Reporting and blocking

You can report or block any user from their profile or your chat.

We prioritize in-person safety reports. If you report that you met someone and something happened, that report is treated as our highest priority and reviewed quickly — not on the same timeline as routine reports. When you make a report, give us as much detail as you can so we can act.

Consequences

What happens when someone breaks these rules depends on what they did and whether it's a pattern. Possible actions include:

Serious violations — especially anything involving safety, threats, or minors — can result in an immediate, permanent ban without a prior warning, and we may report conduct to law enforcement where appropriate. Banned users may not return under a new account.

These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service, and we enforce them at our discretion to keep frankly a place adults actually want to be.
